Marine fish regularly ossified skeleton. Body flat and fairly wide, slightly rhomboidal shape. Small head, both eyes are on the right flank. The mouth is super and moderately large. Short pectoral and ventral fins, longer dorsal and anal fin rays. Brown eye area with reddish or yellowish spots, whitish belly that occasionally has dark spots. Maximum length 100 cm.
